SEE-INDIA organized it’s first International Conference with the support of TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES. The idea of starting SEE-India emanated from the discussions with Mr Gaurav Gandhi, the then Academic Relations manager-TCS Thane. Since then TCS has been generous in supporting our activities. We also invite Microsoft, Google, Infosys, Wipro, Intel and other software giants to support our activities. Especially for the proposed RATAN TATA – SULTAN QABOOS India International Centre for Engineering Education and Research (IICEER) at Amaravathi, Andhra Pradesh needs huge support. Amaravath of Andhra Pradesh is a hot bed for Engineering Education and every house will have an engineering graduate or two. Hundreds and thousands of these undergraduates join software industry and work to the top of the software industry.

The choice of Andhra for the centre is automatic. Besides high concentration, recent bifurcation of the erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra proved to be disadvantageous for Amaravathi region as students have to go to distant Bengaluru or Chennai or Hyderabad for skilling themselves, which needs bit of financial support, difficult for most of the middle class and lower middle class unemployed undergraduates. We request most of the Software houses who use these undergraduates to come forward and support establishing IICEER so that undergraduate engineers can get trained at Amaravathi itself, reducing the burden on these students.

Besides, SEE-India have plans to go to every engineering colleges and train their faculty on teaching-learning methods, assessment, communication, curriculum Design, Outcome based Education, Accreditation, Quality Enhancement etc. Also SEE-India is planning to offer free webinars to colleges.

We look to the established Industry houses to support the IICEER in terms of Financial, Software/hardware support so that as many undergraduates as possible can be trained on the latest technologies.
